BTR News - Bank of America continued a trend among the largest US banks by divesting from servicing companies in the business of private prison slavery. A huge momentum win in the centuries-long ongoing battle against the institution of slavery under the jurisdiction of USA Inc.
While Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase and now Bank of America has delivered crippling sanctions against the private prison slavery industry which amounts to corporate sanctions, several banks, Suntrust, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citizens, PNC, First Tennessee Bank, US Bank all remain tied to the private prison industry. remain invested in the industry and continue to profit.

BTR News - On this program, I will be discussing Afro-Christophobia in the Black community that is hindering unity and prohibiting Black people from having healthy relationships. At the same time, we have some non-Christian Black people being discourteous and engaging in name-calling and spreading disinformation about Christianity, we have some Black people who say they are Christians who are just as discourteous and disrespectful to non-Christians. In both cases, it seems a lack of maturity may be the reason.
However, today the program will focus on myths, disinformation and faulty analysis of a small but vocal minority who make claims about why Black people anywhere in the world practice Christianity. Afro-Christophobia in my eyes is an impediment to Black people working together because we want to trash each other's religious/spiritual beliefs but for some reason, Black Christians seem to suffer verbal abuse from other Black people in the United States more than any other group within our group.
I think in order to minimize conflict, a person should follow Mr. Neely Fuller's advice in his 10 Stops with #10 being "Stop Squabbling" with other Black people and as a Black Christian, scriptures tell me the same thing so this will be the last time I address Afro Christophobia on this program or network.
2 Timothy 2:23-24: 23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.
Some of the questions I will attempt to answer are as follows:
Why did most African Americans adopt Christianity?
Is Christianity the "white mans" religion?
What are or should be the core tenants of Christians?
Is swapping out one religion or set of spiritual beliefs going to solve the problem of white supremacy?
What is the best thing to do when confronted with Afro-Christophobia?

BTR News - News of the day and more covered on today's broadcast. The Game was asked if he supported reparations for African-Americans to which he responded that the US government should give every Black person 40 Acres of land and a Lambo. He was also asked if it would bankrupt the USA to which he replied, "I would not care". Let us answer the bankruptcy question based on the Bush and Obama hundreds of billions of dollars in stimulus packages in 2008 and 2009. Let us make the case for an African American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
In other news,
Trump slaps more sanctions on Iran to which they replied that the WH suffers from "Mental Retardation".
The SCOTUS rules the Hobbs Act which enhances prison sentences to make them longer for certain crimes to which the 5-4 court said was "unconstitutionally vague".
Sen. Sanders pushes legislation to cancel 1.6 Trillion in Student Loan Debt.

BTR News - A Washington, DC-based conservative lawyer named Hans Bader, wrote an article calling reparations "racial handouts" to make an argument against them using racial dog whistles. In addition to that, he also claims the 13th Amendment abolished slavery 150 years ago and that is not what the 13th Amendment did but rather created a new form of slavery in the United States. Let's break down the misinformation coming from this particular argument against reparations.

Donald Trump this morning is saying that he called off a strike against Iran because too many people would die. Yesterday Trump said that the shootdown of the US spy drone was possibly accidental.
It has finally happened! Cable news pundit and writer Charles Blow, in a debate with Republican Rick Santorum, introduced the 13th Amendment's exception clause to his argument for reparations.
As the country continues to have conversations around reparations for African-Americans, some want to push back against the suggestion of any monetary payment but the fact is, reparations would act as stimulus packages and benefit the US economy. Let's talk about these stories and more today on BTR News. Program notes.

Kicking off Juneteenth Celebrations A Congressional Panel will hold a hearing on the HR 40 Bill which would create a reparations commission to study, document and recommend proposals for reparative justice. Sen. Mitch McConnel disparagingly referred to as Turtle Man, expressed his opposition to reparations for African Americans who come from an American lineage that began in slavery which despite popular opinion, the 13th Amendment provided a loophole for slavers to exploit and continue the practice of enslavement by targeting emancipated Africans and their descendants for the prison industrial complex, modern-day slavery and denying them the full fruits of rights and priveledges affording citizens in the US constitution.
Also, this week organizations affiliated with N’Cobra which was founded in 1987 and helped rewrite the current HR 40 Bill before Congress and the subject of these hearings, will hold their 30th Annual Conference on Thursday.
Black Talk Radio will open up the phone lines after the hearing has concluded for those with questions or concerns they would like to share with the audience.

'BTR News - Scotty t. Reid and guest contributor Kwabena Rasuli of Clear The Airwaves Project discuss the Miley Cyrus rehashed controversy concerning her 2017 comments about rap music and how some of the lyrics coming out by artists made her as a woman in the music.
Of course, after the backlash, Cyrus apologized once again for the ill-advised comments unless of course, it was part of a publicity stunt to promote new material. We also dissected how the industry that has been called the "The Factory" is in fact, creating Black people who identify as "niggas" who engage in " codes of conduct" aka NCC.
News segments also covered the negative reaction of one #ADOS to the news that a Congressional hearing on reparations has been scheduled that doesn't include their favorite Youtube personalities but includes Black people who they have antagonized on social media.
Violence is escalating in the Middle East region as Japanese oil tanker was attacked while the Japanese PM was meeting with the Iranian leadership but while there is no logical motive for the Iranians to do such a thing, the Trump Administration and the Pentagon in less than 24hrs assigned blame to Iran. The Internet wasn't so quick to believe the US government's war propaganda and compared the incident to the documented false flag attack known as the Gulf of Tonkin that was used to push the US military into invading and occupying Vietnam.
