I'll respect Marc Lamont Hill as a journalist and a human rights defender but I strongly disagree with his hot take on Bernie Sanders on the issue of federal legislation in support of reparations but more important, support for legislation that gets you to actual policy proposals that will come out of the HR 40 path.
Mr. Sanders campaign does seem to understand the issue of reparations specifically for descendants of those impacted by slavery and the policies that followed after the passage of the 13th amendment, by including reparations advocates on his campaign as evident by the Tweet Sanders sent out on Juneteenth with Danny Glover and the specific subject of reparations and African Americans. - Scotty T Reid, BTR News

BTR News - Nicki Minaj sends mixed messages on why she decided against performing in Saudi Arabia and gets taken to task for suggesting Jaimaca has similar human rights abuses as Saudi Arabia. An African American woman who had been drinking attacked a Hispanic woman claiming the woman was stealing jobs. An article recently came out discussing the non-codification of the ADOS movement. ADOS started as an uncodified movement for reparations but with anti-African and anti-immigrant elements that diminishes their ability to build political capital and may get them labeled as a hate group.

BTR News - Presidential Candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were both caught lying about their past support for policies concerning building state prisons and reporting children to ICE for deportation. Billionaire Jeffery Epstein who counts a number of high profile people as his friends were busted on trafficking charges over the weekend. Epstein counts both Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and British Royale Prince Andrew among friends. A white man who was recently released from prison slit the throat of a teen in a Circle K store killing him and said the teen's rap music made him feel threatened. In international news, Iran increases uranium enrichment levels, Trump issued another threat and sends a thousand more US troops to the region as sanctions cause people to die in Iran.

BTR News: Trump's flubs 4th of July Speech during celebration likely to costs millions to taxpayers. Black women lost her mind and fought with protesters staging a US flag burning. Eight Black US Congress members have failed to sponsor reparations study bill, who are they? Western media and government officials including US VP Mike Pence are excusing violent protest in Hong Kong calling those who engaged in the violent destruction of property and attacked police "freedom fighters". Protests by Ethiopian Jews erupt in Israel over the off duty police shooting of a young Black man. After having one its oil tankers seized by the UK, Iran threatens retaliation and says it will enrich uranium to weapons-grade levels.

Today Kwabena Rasuli of Clear The Airwaves project drops by to discuss the issues related to gun violence in the Black community and the violent programming of the rap music industry that targets Black people. Young people fed up with gun violence in Philly organized a rally which was also attended by city officials. Officials are also calling for city, state and federal resources to focus on solving the problem. We will also talk about actions taken by activists to shut down the broadcasting of Kill A & Train A Hoe rap music in NYC on publicly licensed stations during hours between 6 am est - 10 pm est.
Also, why are women in Saudi Arabia angry about rapper Nicki Minaj being booked to perform at an upcoming music festival in their country?

BTR News - A video has gone viral of a Black woman rejecting the services of a Confederate contractor who pulled up to her home with an oversized confederate flag flying from the back of his trailer. Her response was textbook anti-racism codification.
Referencing photos migrants and asylum seekers in facilities at the southern border, Sen. Elizabeth Warren tweeted that "human beings" were packed in like animals and that it went against "American Values" but is it? Recall that time when Sen. Kamala Harris was California's AG and her lawyers argued against easing overcrowding?
Speaking of Sen. Harris, yesterday we looked at ADOS Antonio Moore's claim that Kamala Harris "lied by omission" and suggested she led desegregation in Berkeley, California, public schools. Yesterday we showed where that was a false claim Harris never made but what she did say was she was part of the 2nd class of bussed students. However, after the false claims about what Harris said during the recent debates circulated online, Politifact examined her actual claim of being in that 2nd class.
Lastly, Trump is planning a really big military show for 4th of July celebrations in Washington, DC.

BTR News - Iran has followed through on its threat to exceed the limit of enriched uranium limit because of US sanctions after the Trump administration pulled out of the 2015 nuclear agreement negotiated with the Obama administration. In 2015, Iran agreed to a long-term deal on its nuclear program with a group of world powers known as the P5+1 - the US, UK, France, China, Russia, and Germany. It came after years of tension over Iran's alleged efforts to develop a nuclear weapon. Iran and European partners have set up a system to circumvent US sanctions and continue trade.
US Border Patrol agents are under investigation after a secret FB group was exposed that contained racist and sexist comments from members who are current or former agents.
It appears that bots were part of the Twitter storm attacking Kamala Harris "blackness" or lack thereof. Antonio Moore advances a false narrative that Kamala Harris claimed to lead desegregation efforts in her comments to Joe Biden over his work to oppose racial desegregation.

The SCOTUS ruled that state legislatures can create political districts as they see fit and no one can challenge it in Federal Court. Senator Kamala Harris lit into Joe Biden over school racial segregation with facts. Harris mentioned her childhood as a Black child in the second generation of children who go to a desegregated school while Biden was colluding with segregationists. Let us take a deep dive and unpack the issues brought out. Also, a noticeable attack on Bernie Sanders emerged on social media following the debate which was based on a theme that "Sander's was an old man yelling at the television". A cheap shot that has nothing to do with his platform but more to do with his speech pattern. However, no one accused Biden of "yelling" at Harris when he attempted to spin his response to her accusation that he cozied up to racists.
