Dave of Thando Radio will join us again to discuss updates concerning the Covid 19 pandemic. We will also hear from Angel who hosts V2V on the BTRN. Angel is a trained epidemiologist and gave her thoughts earlier today which we will share on-air. Tonight we will speak with Dave the Prepper of Thando Radio Show about the continued spread of Corvid 19. Since yesterday afternoon, Corvid-19 cases confirmed by the CDC have jumped to over 600 cases, that a hundred more than reported yesterday.
During the second hour we will speak to journalist Jon Jeter about the Democratic primaries and how is it that Joe Biden is so popular with Black voters, boomers to be specific as Sanders continues to capture the Black youth vote. What happened in South Carolina? What happened on Super Tuesday and what will happen today after voting concludes? Is Sanders's reluctance to go "negative" on Joe Biden hurting his campaign since obviously voters seem to be rejecting any kind of sensible policy evaluation of the candidates.
Jon Jeter is a published book author and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist with more than 20 years of journalistic experience. He is a former Washington Post bureau chief and award-winning foreign correspondent on two continents, as well as a former radio and television producer for Chicago Public Media’s “This American Life.” You can support Jeter's current journalistic endeavors via Patreon.

By Scotty T. Reid - As a person who took leadership classes while in the US Army (87-92), held positions that gave me power and responsibility way above my rank, I can say Elizabeth Warren does not exhibit leadership qualities but rather as she said herself, "just a player in the game".
As she drops out of the race where she portrayed herself as a progressive running in the progressive lane, a leader would not need time to decide whether or not to support the progressive Sanders or the Neoliberal Joe Biden who wrote the bills protecting credit card companies and preventing students from discharging debt in bankruptcy she was so adamantly opposed.

This wasn't the first clue of her lack of leadership qualities. How do you co-sponsor Sanders's Medicare For All bill, come out making it part of your platform and then crumble when pressed on how to pay for it and not being able to say simply, a payroll tax and you would actually save more than you spending now? Then to bail on it for a "public option". That isn't leadership.

To say just last week, Bernie has been trying to push these progressive policies for decades and he hasn't been able to do it. That is saying to those with an ear to hear, I am not a fighter, I will quit when everyone is against me even when I'm standing on principles and morals. That's not leadership.

Then the biggest sign she was not a leader was her over and over talking about getting money out of politics and pledging to never allow a Super Pac to operate on her behalf but when she doesn't attract the small-dollar donations, she flip-flops and accepts Super Pac help to stay in the race through Super Tuesday. That is not leadership.

While I'm glad she dropped out, probably could not get any more Super Pac help after another poor showing on Super Tuesday, she said, I'm staying in it to get delegates and take them to a contested convention. She just said that last week and now she is dropping out.

I know the media has programmed a lot of people to repeat the bullshit line that "I like Bernie's policies but his supporters are mean". Take this how you want to but I am going to speak my truths.
I saw a white woman today on Twitter say Bernie's supporters should study Dr. King's non-violent approach. First of all, Sander's supporters are not running around beating up people, getting into fights with Antifa and whatnot, secondly, MLK was trying to show, and he did, that white people can be so vicious and barbaric, they will sick dogs on young people, children, and turn fire hoses on them for challenging the status quo of Jim Crow. However, to say some bullshit like that to a base that is majority non-white, the children and grandchildren of those Black people she talking about is racist. What she is really saying is, why don't y'all be passive Negroes and lie down and say nothing when the media and other campaigns lie on Sanders and constantly talking about you, his supporters, in a gaslighting operation. If a white person can come close to understanding what it is like to be Black in America for millions, a white Sanders supporter should be able to identify.
I want to say, I can't believe Warren went on MSNBC's Rachel Maddow to whine about the push back she got online for lying and trying to make Bernie out to be sexists or any other self-inflicted wounds but I can totally believe it.

Leaders don't go and whine on national tv about getting snake emojis on Twitter or that someone is mean to them or how many death threats, if any they got. Then to subscribe the behavior to one particular group of voters without any proof as to the real identities behind the accounts is suspect on Warren's part. If Warren was in the military, no one would respect her and would see her as we...

CoronaVirus (COVID-19)
On tonight's broadcast of BTR News w/ Scotty Reid, we will discuss the spread of CoronaVirus (COVID-19) in several states, the fight in Congress over funding to supply test kits, treat people and develop an affordable vaccine. Only in the profit-driven healthcare industry is this even an argument to be had and what will happen to those who don't have healthcare insurance which is in the millions. Capitalism is threatening to cull the US population-based on socio-economic factors which could be just what some people want or in the very least, make them not care. If poor elderly people who are most susceptible to dying from the virus, that means that's less social security checks the US government has to mail out.
White Moderates & Negroes In The House For The Status Quo
Tonight we will also do a post-Super Tuesday analysis that will take a look at the curious outcomes as Joe Biden comes out of nowhere to be up 65 delegates in the race for the DNC nomination which according to a fraud lawsuit from 2016, the DNC as a private corporation can change its rules whenever it gets ready as it did with Bloomberg and more recently to keep Tulsi Gabbard from the debate stage while people like Hillary Clinton pontificate to Sanders about following the rules, as she once again has to answer questions about not following the rules on federal record-keeping laws.
Heading into Super Tuesday, national polls showed that Bernie Sanders had taken the lead over Joe Biden in support from Black voters but according to reports, Black voters, particularly Boomers in the South, voted overwhelmingly for Biden.
I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection. - Martin Luther King Jr., Letter From A Birmingham Jail
However, younger Black voters voted for Sanders but its funny how some Black talking heads on social media have declared that Sanders can't win the Black vote and don't take the generational divide into account nor that Black voters in the North are not moderate or conservative as Black voters in the South. Not to offend anyone but many Black boomers in the Red States were deprived of an education that trained them to think independently of the system and its gatekeepers. The same goes for many white folks in the South but we not talking about them right now.
You have to read the history of slavery to understand this. There were two kinds of Negroes. There was that old house Negro and the field Negro. And the house Negro always looked out for his master. When the field Negroes got too much out of line, he held them back in check. He put 'em back on the plantation. The house Negro could afford to do that because he lived better than the field Negro. He ate better, he dressed better, and he lived in a better house. He lived right up next to his master - in the attic or the basement. He ate the same food his master ate and wore his same clothes.

By Scotty T. Reid - Multibillionaire Michael Bloomberg was torched in the NBC Presidential Debate last night but he suffered his worst burns from Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senator Bernie Sanders who both went after his record on the alleged mistreatment of women in his employ and refusal to release women who had sued his company from their non-disclosure agreements so they can tell their truths. Senator Sanders went after Bloomberg for his racist comments and lies concerning the Stop & Frisk policy in New York City that targeted Black and Latino young men and teens.
However, a video has been unearthed that was recorded by Bermuda Broadcasting in March of 2019 at a forum where the former NYC Mayor stated that he could not win a national campaign unless he changed his political views and embarked on an apology tour. In a very arrogant manner, Bloomberg took shots at Joe Biden for apologizing for the 1994 Crime Bill which Biden never did and was just defending the harsh legislation last year, and Bloomberg also took shots at former presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke whom Bloomberg said apologized for being born.

Based on the 2019 clip of Bloomberg stating he would have to change his views in order to have a shot at becoming POTUS, does anyone today really trust that he has really changed his views or is he more likely to be saying what he thinks Democrats want to hear. He is running a very dishonest campaign with adverts featuring former President Obama saying nice things about him giving the appearance that Obama has endorsed him which he has not.
Could you imagine the accusations of fraud that would be thrown at the Sanders campaign if they used the video clip of Barack Obama endorsing Sanders in his 2006 Senate run in a campaign advertisement in 2020?
https://www.blacktalkradionetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ObamaEndorsedSandersAsAManOfThePeople.mp4
What if Bernie Sanders whose domestic policies align with the Democratic Socialism expressed by Dr. Martin Luther King, used the beloved civil rights icon in a 2020 campaign ad?
https://www.blacktalkradionetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/2020-01-20_3-12-54.mp4
Bernie Sanders's Black supporters more than likely would support such a campaign ad featuring Dr. King and glad the campaign has mentioned Dr. King and what he fought for but then there is the risk that Black pundits like MSNBC's Joy-Ann Reid and Dr. Jason Johnson would attack Sanders relentlessly just as a few Black women at an event featuring Reid childishly accused Sanders in 2016 of using his involvement in the Civil Rights movement as "pandering to black people".
Bloomberg obviously has an integrity problem and in addition to being one of the most un-authentic candidates to jump in the race, like Biden in a previous run for the nomination, Bloomberg's campaign has been caught creating plans on his platform that have been plagiarized.
If Michael Bloomberg said he could not win in 2019, why is he running in the Democratic primary? As another person observed, Bloomberg who has run as a Republican has endorsed Republicans and has donated to Republican campaigns, would have a better shot if he had run against Donald Trump in the Republican primary. Since he has no realistic path to the Democratic nomination, one has to assume that Bloomberg is in the race to do one thing and that is to stop Senator Sanders.
Considering how Bloomberg is racking up endorsements from establishment Black democrats and those he has donated money to their causes, it would appear that the strategy is to stop Sanders by depriving him of Black support which he has gained in recent weeks and is now a front runner in national polls with Black Voters. Only time will tell if Bloomberg's strategy will be successful as the primaries and caucuses move to more diverse states.

BTR News - In an interview with a former Joe Biden supporter who switched her support to Senator Bernie Sanders, CNN cites a Quinnipiac University poll which shows Sanders coming in 3rd behind Joe Biden and Micheal Bloomberg in national support among Black voters. Richland County Councilwoman Dalhi Myers out of South Carolina says she identifies as a Pro-Life, Fiscally Conservative Moderate Democrat and not a socialist but says that Sander's bold programs for people who need the most help convinced her to support the Senator's second bid for President and she believes more Black voters will start to support him.

In the current times of great poverty and homelessness, wars and rumors of wars, mass wealth inequality, massive student and medical debt, mass incarceration aka prison slavery, millions dying too soon because of a lack of access to healthcare and a lack of access to higher education for millions, these are not the times for moderation.
