A Clay County, Florida Sherriff in all his thuggish bravado issued threats to non-existent protestors because of what he has seen on cable news shows. In a video complete with background music and his deputies standing behind him, Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels said that if people want to come from out of town and engage in unlawful protests, he will deputize every gun owner in the county.
Considering there have been no protests and no intelligence that the Sherriff mentioned that caused him to make such a thuggish and almost cartoonish video, he might have done so to distract from the criminal investigation into him having his deputies unlawfully detain a woman whom with he was having an affair. The investigation has concluded and the initial report turned over to a States Attorney to consider charges.
